Members of CT's Juvenile Justice Policy and Oversight Committee's (JJPOC) Diversion Workgroup, (including CHDI's Yecenia Casiano) were pictured in the Tow Youth Justice Institute's Fall 2016 newsletter for completing the Georgetown Center for Juvenile Justice Reform Diversion Certificate Program. These fellows developed a cap-stone proposal to reduce youth contact with the juvenile justice system, particularly for those youth with mental and/or behavioral health needs, through the enhancement of the Juvenile Review Board system.
