Statewide Symposium on Childhood Trauma and School Mental Health
School mental health and community leaders from across the state gathered on May 24 at the
Symposium on Trauma-Informed School Mental Health to examine how to bestmeet the needs of students withmental health needs and those impacted by trauma. The event was the result of collaboration between
CHDI, the Capitol Region Education Council, the Connecticut Department of Education, the University of Connecticut Collaboratory on School and Child Health and Neag School of Education, the Ana Grace Project, and Clifford Beers Clinic. Ideas from the event will be used to develop of a statewide framework for trauma-informed school mental health.
