Connecting Schools to Care IV Students is a federally-funded initiative helping Connecticut schools and districts build their capacity to access and utilize community-based behavioral health resources and empower youth and families while strengthening their trauma-informed mental health programming. Any public K-12 school or district in the state can apply to participate at three different levels based on their need and capacity.

CHDI serves as the statewide Coordinating Center for Connecting Schools to Care IV Students (CONNECT IV), a four-year grant awarded to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Grant partners include DCF, CHDI, Carelon Behavioral Health, FAVOR, and The Consultation Center at Yale.
