Judith Meyers submitted tesimony to the Commitee on Education (Connecticut General Assembly) in support of legislation establishing the Office of Early Childhood (OEC) for the State of Connecticut. In the testimony, Meyers writes, "Integrating early childhood systems is the best way to ensure optimal healthy child development and readiness for school success. We are strongly committed to promoting a fully integrated system for young children that coordinates early care and education with a comprehensive healthcare network." Meyers also noted that promoting optimal child development is a critical part of addressing the full range of health safety and learning needs of young children.
