The Stamford Public School system was awarded a grant to continue it's work to expand Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS), a school-based intervention for students who have experienced traumatic events and are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
In 2014, CHDI conducted an audit of mental health programs for Stamford Public Schools to identify current strengths and areas of concern, and provide them with actionable recommendations. Since that time, CHDI has continued to work with Stamford to improve school-based and school-linked mental health services and supports.
