School-Based Programs
CHDI coordinates three programs based in schools:
School-Based Diversion Initiative (SBDI)
The Connecticut School-Based Diversion Initiative (SBDI) works with schools and districts to reduce suspensions, expulsions, and arrests among students with behavioral health needs.
Evidence-Based Trauma Care in Schools
CHDI trains and supports school-based clinicians in implementing evidence-based treatments for children who have experienced trauma. We also offer a free online course on trauma screening specifically developed for school staff.
