State Policy Strategies for the Workforce Emergency in Behavioral Health

In the September 2024 issue of Psychiatric Services, CHDI's Jason Lang, PhD and Aleece Kelly, MPP and colleagues Michael Hoge and Manuel Paris, Jr. of Annapolis Coalition on the Behavioral Health Workforce and Yale School of Medicine published this paper reviewing seven key policy strategies states around the country are using to strengthen, grow, and diversify their behavioral health workforce in response to the nationwide shortage.
